About April: Growing up in rural Scotland, I had exposure to many therapies through my close family and friends; osteopathy, acupuncture, Alexander technique (which I still use today) and massage as some examples. When I was 9 years old a friend of mine suffered form a trapped nerve, and not knowing what else to do I began massaging - from then on I have been on a diverse road towards the cranio sacral work I do now! I came to Paris in 2011 to train in aikido, a marital art focusing on harmony and internal use of ‘ki’ or energy to neutralize negative force. It was here that I decided to take the two year training course in London (taking the train every few weekends) at the 'College of Cranio Sacral Therapy', one of the oldest and most renowned school in the U.K. Graduated in 2014 from the college, I am now working with a passion to understand and heal dis-ease, and am committed to building a practice here in Paris and introducing the French public to this incredibly gentle and profound form of treatment alongside furthering my studies and understanding of this incredible structure we call the human body and all that goes on around it. I continue to actively learn via courses in body movement and other disciplines, including body mind centering and somatic experiencing so as to be able to deepen my knowledge and capacities. |
